Burque Brews Toasts Albuquerque’s Independent Spirit at Sunport
Elevated bar food and homegrown hospitality at cozy new pub
ALBUQUERQUE — Travelers can now raise a glass to the spirit of Albuquerque at Burque Brews, a lively new spot at the Albuquerque International Sunport celebrating the city’s vibrant beer culture and inventive cuisine.
Operated by locally based Fresquez Concessions, Burque Brews pairs modern industrial design with colorful, playful touches inspired by the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Located at the T-connector — where concourses A and B meet — the space features a comfortable sit-down bar and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying New Mexico’s delicious craft beers and signature dishes.
“Burque Brews is another way we’re championing Albuquerque’s creative spirit and local flavor at our Sunport,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “From great food to local beer, this new spot gives travelers an authentic taste of our city’s unique culture before they even leave the terminal.”
With a menu focused on elevated bar fare, Burque Brews redefines casual airport dining. Guests can enjoy Southwest-inspired flavors all perfectly paired with a rotating lineup of local brews.
“Our goal is to make every part of the travel experience uniquely Albuquerque,” said Aviation Acting Director Manny Manriquez. “Burque Brews does that perfectly — it’s comfortable, fun, and elevated, just like our city.”
Burque Brews is part of the Sunport’s “Dream of Flight” terminal renovation, an ambitious modernization project designed to enhance the traveler experience while showcasing the best of Albuquerque’s culture, cuisine, and creativity. It is the second of several new dining options to open in the concourse area, underscoring the Sunport’s commitment to local partnerships and an authentic sense of place.
“As a homegrown company, we’re proud to bring Burque Brews to the Sunport,” said LeeAnna Fresquez, president of Fresquez Concessions. “It celebrates everything we love about our city: great food, great beer, and great people. We’re excited to share that with travelers from around the globe.”
From its menu to its design, Burque Brews captures the essence of the Duke City — bold, creative, and full of local flavor — reimagining the airport as a true gateway to Albuquerque’s heart.
