Local Favorite Steel Bender Brewyard Touches Down at ABQ Sunport
Beloved Los Ranchos brewery joins Sunport’s once-in-a-generation renovation
ALBUQUERQUE — Steel Bender Brewyard is now open at the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), the latest tenant to debut inside the reimagined terminal as part of its ambitious “Dream of Flight” once-in-a-generation renovation project.
“The Sunport is often a traveler’s first impression of the Land of Enchantment, and we want that experience uniquely Albuquerque,” said Mayor Keller. “Welcoming Steel Bender to the terminal celebrates our local businesses, our culture, and our commitment to a great travel experience for everyone who passes through.”
Steel Bender’s Sunport location will offer a rotating tap list featuring some of the brewery’s most popular selections, including varieties that have earned regional and national acclaim.
The Los Ranchos-based, family-owned brewery earned a bronze medal at the 2024 Best of Craft Beer Award in Redmond, Oregon—one of the largest professional beer competitions in the country.
“New Mexico has some of the best craft beer in the country, and the Sunport’s support of local breweries and businesses is another reason why our airport is one of the most unique in the world,” said Steel Bender Brewyard Owner Ethan Chant. “As a family born and raised in New Mexico—and having traveled through the Sunport for decades—we couldn’t be more excited to be part of this.”
