From Ancient Origins to the Land of Enchantment: Theobroma Chocolatier Arrives at ABQ
Local confectioner joins Sunport’s roster of featured small businesses
“Supporting local businesses like Theobroma Chocolatier boosts Albuquerque’s economy and gives travelers a sweet impression of the city,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “It’s a perfect fit for Ascend ABQ and the Sunport.”
For nearly 30 years, Theobroma Chocolatier has been a staple in Albuquerque’s Northeast Heights, offering small-batch chocolates made with premium ingredients. Inspired by the ancient Maya and Aztec civilizations, where chocolate was revered as both nourishment and pleasure, Theobroma continues to honor the origins of what was once called the “food of the gods.”
Theobroma Chocolatier offers a wide variety of confections, including truffles, soft centers, creams, caramels, and signature treats. Each piece is carefully crafted to reflect both centuries-old chocolate traditions and the vibrant flavors of New Mexico.
“This is an exciting new chapter for our brand,” said Theobroma Chocolatier owner Heather Clark. “Being at the Sunport allows us to share our passion for high-quality ingredients, artisanal craftsmanship, and unforgettable flavors with travelers from around the world. It is both an honor and a dream come true, and we look forward to creating lasting impressions and becoming a memorable part of the Sunport experience.”
