They learned travelers adore airports that are easy to get to (and through) above all else. They also learned people love light filled spaces with soaring ceilings. And, recent renovations help, too (i.e. our once-in-a-generation Dream of Flight renovation.) We are so proud to be your 7th best airport in the nation! The annual Honor Flight Homecoming event in our Great Hall is possibly our most touching event of the year. Helping to give these vets the true hero’s welcome they may have never gotten when they first returned from war is just an incredible experience. Thanks to everyone who shows up to help us do just that, every year. We recently had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma Barragan, alongside the team from the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque, after he flew in on our brand new @united flight from D.C.! He was very interested in our “Dream of Flight” renovation, all of the exciting projects surrounding it and he was also a bit of an “AvGeek” when it comes to aviation history! Possibly the most important discussions we had were about our countries working together to try to bring back air service to and from Mexico. Know that we are always working on this! It is our #1 international destination we are focusing on to expand our air travel program. Exciting things are on the horizon…
